I can't remember what thread I posted a comment about applying for a job, so am starting a new one.
For those that may have missed it, I applied for a paraeducator job Monday. I rec'd a call this morning to come in for an interview this coming Monday (school starts Tuesday!!).
There are two job openings from what I understand. One in the K-2 school and one in the middle school 5-6. Someone told me yesterday that the grade school one has two openings and both are for handicapped children-one is autistic and one has celebral palsy and neither talk. I don't know anything about the middle school opening. I think I might actually like working with the handicapped children. I worked with mentally handicapped children when I was in high school (the Special Olympics was my favorite working with these children). I had two cousins who were handicapped and I have worked with other children with learning disabilities, including my son.
So say a prayer Monday at 4. It's been a LONG time since I've worked full time.
It will work out great if I get the job, because I will be able to have the same 'hours' as Benjamin and have off when he is off from school. I will also have 2.5-3 hours a day (school days) after school that I can stamp and work on stuff while he is at x-country/track practice and may get more done then than if I was home-you know...phone, laundry, etc:flirt2:
Right now, I am at the library as Benjamin had a "summer's over" party to go to. Then I go get him at 5, take him to practice and then he goes w/ the team to go camping this weekend.
I wasn't able to get online at home to upload my Basically challenge as DH was helping Aaron as he will be taking online/satellite classes and he needed to do some pretesting.
so hopefully I can upload my project tomorrow.
