prayer request

hey girls!
I am sitting at the library in the city waiting for an e-mail from DH's aunt. (Aaron is here taking a cartooning art class)
Dh's g'ma is having surgery right now as she broke her hip. She has been recovering from knee replacement surgery (about a month ago), which she was doing GREAT!! Everyone was shocked that a dr would do this surgery on a 92 yr old. She blew us all away-med profession as well as family.
She called me two nites ago and said she was in so much pain she wanted to give up (she NEVER once complained of pain after her knee surger!). That the pain was in the other leg. We talked for 2 hrs. She had been to the dr as they thought it was a blood clot, but wasn't. Bruce's aunt called yesterday morning saying Ruth was in so much pain that they took her to the hospital and she had a broken hip.

This news has been very hard on my husband as well as the rest of us. We are probably the closest to her as Bruce is *kinda* a favorite (shhhhh don't tell the other grandkids!) We farm Ruth's farm. She is in assisted living and the prices are going up. Soon the farm is going to need sold for her to be there. If she has to go to the nursing home the farm will have to be sold quicker. This is our income. You can probably figure out the rest.

Thanks for listening. Yesterday and today we have been in a funk. I am hoping to hear some good news soon.

Oh me too Debbie. I'm so sorry to hear this. Just remember that everything happens for a reason and something good will come to good people. I know it's hard to think about right now, but I truly believe that no matter what bad things happen, there is something good in the wings. I hope all goes well with her surgery and your family is safe.

Thanks everyone! WOW! I can really feel the love and I appreciate so much all your prayers.
All we know is that she came out of surgery ok and I just rec'd an e-mail verifying they had to do a hip replacement.
Ruth has 7 kids and they don't all get along. So it's kinda hard to get info sometimes. I will keep you updated.
Unfortunately, this drained her of all her funds, so now there are decisions that have to be made. Big decisions. We are kinda at the mercy of the family as they don't tell us much what is going on even though we are the ones doing all the work on the farm. Oh well.....
