Summer Swap!

I've never done this before but I'm giving it a shot!
I'm going to host a swap!

Lets make it a Summer Swap with anything summery. Cards, altered stuff, what ever you want to make.
Lets start with 5+1 and see how it goes.

Amount: Please send 6 + 1 of whatever you're making. Each person will receive 1 of each item. The additional item is for (me) the hostess.

Vendor requirements: Anything goes. NVR

Due Date: July 30th. Sign up deadline will be July 5th.

Swap Return: I will swap out the stuff within 3 days

Mailing Instructions: Please place your swap in a baggie or plastic wrap, for waterproof purposes. Please include a piece of paper with your name, EI screen name, and swap name. Please also include as much postage as it took to send, plus one extra stamp just in case. Unused postage will be returned. Everyone is welcome. We'll add as many spots as we need but we'll start with 5!

I have a question. I don't see how this will work if everyone sends something different. Or what if 4 people send cards and an envy and 1 person sends an altered Target mailbox? You will not have pkgs big enough OR postage enough (except for the person sending the mailboxes)

If someone does mailboxes I'll cover the postage! I just wanted to make it so people could make whatever they wanted. I'm not surprised I did it wrong since I've never done it before! Thanks Debbie! Maybe we should say it's a light weight altered item? Advice please! I'm a rookie at this!

1) Lets say 7 people sign up and I want to make cards than I make 7 cards- On for each gal ?

If I'm reading it right, you would make 7 +1 so you would make 8. b/c you are making one for each person and then an extra for the hostess.

I think since Barb is not participating you would make one for each person playing and the hostess (Barb). So you would make 8 total. You would not need to make one for yourself unless you want to.

I'm doing cards... I have to get them finished up so I can mail them. I was gone all last week.

I have 2 done and 4 more to go. I'll be sending them out next weeks sometime. But I am making something that has a mini calendar on it. You can hang it on the fridge or have it on an easel at your desk. Just really simple but pretty.

Barb! Guess what I just found? Yep, my cards. I thought they were mailed already but I found the envelope under some things dh brought home (he was supposed to mail them for me).
