It's official! Summer has arrived! We've already had some pretty warm days this year so I hate to see what it's going to be like now. I like having the days longer, though.

I hope everyone enjoys their first day of summer and has a fun and exciting one over the next 3 months!:flowers5::flowers6:

It is finally feeling like summer here too. I thought it would never come! The 4th is only 2 weeks away!

Summer for me has been here in ABQ since the end of May. So it is nice to be in CO Springs today where the weather is a little bit cooler. I am off to the North Pole (amusement park).

I didn't even realize it was the first day of...until one of the guys mentioned it at work yesterday. How sad of me- my most favorite time of year and I didn't even realize.

Note to self: take time to notice the seasons change! :)

We've been there. A few years ago when the kids were smaller. We had a great time until Jack passed out on one of the rides. Scared the crap out of me. I think he was dehydrated and then the high spinning ride didn't help. Besides that it's a great amusement park for the kids. Hope you're having great time.

Are you hitting the Cheyenne mountain Zoo too. It's an awesome zoo. The giraffe exhibit is really neat. YOu know living so close I wish we made it up there a little more often!

*HI Barb*

Work! The commute and work day takes up pretty much half my 24-hr days. UGH!

Then what's left has been spent with family...and then my stuff! Sad isn't it?!?!?

We actually did the zoo today. Incredible zoo!! We saw about half the zoo since the kids are still little and can only handle a few hours of excitement at a time. We even drove up to the Shrine to the Sun. The views were awesome from there. Monday we are going to the North Pole (less crowded). We went a few years ago when my son, Garrett, was 2 years old. He could ride the kiddie rides then. My daughter was just a baby so I am looking forward to them going on rides together. But the last time we went Garrett contracted pink eye from one of the rides. We drove back to ABQ and his eyes are getting all gucky and disgusting. So after a 6 hour drive we hop back into the car and go to urgent care and sit there for about an hour to get some eye medicine. I brought it with me on this trip just in case.
