Has anyone ever been stung by a wasp? I was just wondering what are some good remedies to make the burning sensation stop. I have been putting ice packs on the area and I took some Benedryl but wondered if there was something else I could do.

Thanks for any info!

Use baking soda to make a thick paste and glob it on! Helps take away the sting and reduce swelling!

Well I know this is going to sound odd....but when I was younger and stung by one...someone told my parents to try mud. yes MUD...I know it sounds odd but as the mud dries it pulls the poison out. It worked back then however I'm sure they have a paste at the local drugstore that does the same thing.

:thanks: you all.

I had heard the mud thing before. It helps draw out the toxins.
Hadn't heard the potato one before.

But I did try the baking soda and water and slathered (sp??) it on. It helped quite a bit. I am still have like a sharp stabbing pain every so often in my ankle. I was just walking in the grass and was stung. Usually they'll fly away when someone is walking around. I guess I will need to wear shoes from now on and so will the kids.
