So what is your plans for Friday the 13th???
well, today is the kick off for the library's summer reading project with the Critter Guy. We saw him last year. We are taking niece and nephew with us.
DH has been on vacation. Today we are hopefully, going to really start on dd's playhouse. We went last night and picked up the supplies we needed.
Tonight is also the program for VBS and we have that to go too.
I'm just working as usual............ at my *real* job! Otherwise just hanging out.... trying not to let any black cats cross my path or to walk under a ladder or break a mirror!

so Barb....what is your *real* job, if you don't mind me asking?! Bet it's nothing like stamping or scrapping! LOL!
Last 2 dr appts of the week today, my in-laws are coming down this afternoon/Sat. Not much happening around here....I'm hoping I can *play* on Sunday!!
Happy Weekend everyone!
My *real* job is as a structural steel detailer. I draw buildings from architectural and engineered drawings so that each and every single piece of steel can be built and erected using drawings that I make specifically for that in the field. This includes every single piece of steel, hole, bolt, piece of junk a building can have. Rec centers, hospitals, doctors offices, grocery stores, schools and on and on and on ..............................
Now aren't you glad you asked!:hosed:
I need a drink!

oh, I feel right at home with that mumbo-jumbo....my husband is a project manager for a commercial contractor. My brother just started there as a project manager too....so methinks I'll learn more about the field! LOL! What you do sounds interesting! There is no way on this earth I would enjoy the bidding and daily problems my hubby/bro deal with. They seem to thrive on it, so that's cool!:hammock:I'll just take care of kids and stamp!

hey...how come only a few of the new smilies are on the menu?! You keep popping up with funny ones!!!
You have to click on the More link at the bottom!
I don't have to do bidding, just draw buildings and I have project managers who do all the question asking except I have to ask him to ask first! I'm out of the loop for the arch and engineers unless by some mistake they find out my phone number or call me instead............... then I have to scramble cause I don't like talking on the phone!
Oh and I can add smilies and use them cause I know the text for them......... if I decide not to put one on the menu..... like this one http://embellish-online.com/forum/images/smilies/angelstaf.gif

:mickey2: I feel like that is all I've been doing.... running.
now waiting on dh to get back. his first plan for dd's playhouse isn't working out. so he's gone to get some more stuff.
I'm cleaning things up after all the storms we had last night. We were either under tornado warnings or t-storm warnings all night long. We set a new record for rainfall in just a 4 hour period. The water was ankle deep on our patio and coming in under the back door and running down our basement stairs. Water was also coming out of part of the basement wall like a fountain and we had it running across the floor to the drain which was draining like a bathtub. We tried to sleep after 2 this mornining when it quieted down a little, but still didn't get a lot of sleep so I'm going to go and do a couple more things and take a nap. I hope.

well, we have the base for the floor done. it's trying to rain - we need it.
DH is in the shower then I've got to get one. hopefully, tomorrow we can get the rest of the floor done and maybe the walls. since we already have the walls almost done from another building.
Yikes! Makes me glad I live in arid Colorado! We don't have rain like that...... sometimes I miss it, being from Oklahoma... I liked the thunderstorms. A lot of rain around here is an inch.
Things are cleaned up now and everything is drying out, the sun is out and I've had a nap so things are now looking better for Friday the 13th.:flowers6:
